Manuka Street Private Hospital

Manuka Street Hospital is Nelson's only private specialist surgical hospital. The hospital has been providing services to the Nelson Community since the early 1900s. Here, traditional personal service is blended with modern facilities to provide a hospital like none other. The latest refurbishment has really enhanced and modernised the facility. It was our priviledge to work with the team and bring them a kitchen where providing excellent food service is easy!

We enjoyed working alongside the team at Manuka Street Hospital to bring their wishes for the kitchen to reality. The design was refined to ensure it met all requirements and provided a safe and functional workspace. We worked alongside the Gibbons Naylor team and the related tradesmen (electricians, plumbers etc.) to ensure the project came together smoothly.

The finished kitchen is spacious with ample workspace and plenty of storage. Plinth style benching is used throughout the kitchen to ensure cleaning is easy. Featuring a seperate dishwash area, walk-in coolroom, drystore, hot cook line, and a lot of benching, this kitchen has everything required to ensure making great food is easy!

Back in the early 2000's, Taewoo's father approached Hostservice regarding setting up their first eatery in Nelson. Fast forward 17 years and there's much to celebrate. We've worked together to open two Aki Sushi Shops, Aki Kitchen and last but not least, 194 Eatery.
