Taewoo had always wanted to open a Pick-Your-Own sushi shop in Nelson city, but the right location hadn't been available. When a suitable space came up on Trafalgar Street, we were excited to work with Taewoo and Chris and Bella from Space Creations to bring Taewoo's dream to reality.

We worked with Taewoo to design a kitchen which fitted within the constraints of the building, while meeing their needs. Having an open kitchen so customers could see food being prepared and cooked was important as well as having plenty of preparation space. We enjoy the challenge of designing a space that really works for our clients. In Taewoo's words: "They can match what we specifically need and order the equipment in for us"

The result looks amazing. As you walk in the doors, you are greeted by a large selection of delicious sushi, nigiri and other delicacies. At the rear of the shop, you can see the open plan kitchen where the action happens. The storage and dishwashing area is behind the kitchen concealed from the main restaurant making it easy to keep the kitchen tidy.
